• Welcome to our website! St John the Evangelist, Hurst is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Manchester serving the community of Hurst in Ashton-under-Lyne.

    We are a welcoming and inclusive church who meet together to worship God and who seek to show God's love and care to others in our local community and in the world through our words and actions. 

    God's love is for everyone and you are welcome to join us for worship and to take part in our various activities and events

    If you wish to book a Christening or a Wedding we have an "Office Hour" Tuesday 10-11am or you can make an appointment with the Vicar on 07725 739506. NB Office Hour will not be open during August and will resume on Tuesday 3 September 2019  10-11am
