Harvest 17

Our Service of Thanksgiving for Harvest took place on Sunday 8th October at our 10am Sunday Eucharist. The church was wonderfully decorated by our talented flower team!

Our Hurst Junior Choristers helped us to reflect on our theme for this year - Homelessness. They gave an insipiring, thought provoking and moving presentation.

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to the Harvest Appeal. This year we supported the work of the Booth Centre in Mancheser which offers activities, advice and support to homeless people.

The Fantasy Village now also helps us to reflect on homelessness in our towns and cities - come and see...

Revd Liz also was warmly welcomed into Holden Clough School to do a Harvest Assembly and the "Homeless Jesus that had lay under the altar on Sunday went with her!

The response to the Harvest Appeal was maginficent - thank you! We had so many donations that not everything would fit into Revd Liz's car and Fr Jack came to the rescue and filled his car too and the donations were safely delivered to the Booth Centre and gratefully received.

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously!
